The brushed oak flooring from Cadorin’s Oak Planks collection is available with a Rough Effect finish, as an alternative to the traditional finish that gives oak a golden appearance. This new finish combines the elegance of oak with a brushed working, highlighting the typical flamed and streaked pattern of the wood and giving it a natural appearance, or rather an appearance reflecting the colour of freshly cut wood.
The brushed working, performed using two rotating brushes, removes the softer, upper surface, bringing the harder grain to the fore. This has two benefits: on the one hand it improves the quality of the appearance, whilst on the other hand it improves the floor’s resistance to wear and tear. The product is then finished with a professional elastic varnish that protects the floor from daily use and from most common household stains, ensures long-term durability and, in the event of any dents or knocks, has a good elastic response, with no sign of the cracking or chipping that used to occur with old types of wooden floors varnish.
