Three GOLD requirements for choosing the best wood flooring forever.
1 - Look at how it’s MADE: It must be SUBSTANTIAL, SOLID and HEALTHFUL.
2 - Look at all the different solutions ... because you have to LIKE IT!!
3 - Check that it’s been certified by a reliable, professional and traceable PRODUCER.
Home design, like fashion in clothing and accessories, changes continuously. The market offers multiple solutions for every style of decor.
CADORIN, with its host of enthralling solutions, is no exception. Working, treating, and finishing planks in so many different ways provides an infinite variety of wood covering and flooring for Modern or Minimalist designs.
Planking prepared for wood floors is now being used more and more for wall covering ideas (wood wall paneling) and ceilings, even furniture and doors, and laid both vertically and horizontally, in myriad transformations.
Consumers who care about the environment and sustainability can find in Cadorin a producer with great concern and respect for nature: wood selected from nearby sources, vinyl glues and natural oils and waxes that are formaldehyde free. But also the use of renewable energy resources: thermal energy generated with production wood residue and electrical energy generated by photovoltaic panels; energy sources entirely dedicated to the production cycle.
The 6 Green Roots feeding into the life source of all Cadorin production
CANDORIN ANTIQUE PLANKS retain the charm of the past.
CADORIN recovers beams from old abandoned houses to reuse them in the production of a single plank wood floor. Every single piece of wood is cleaned and cut, preserving the original patina; cracks or knots are carefully sealed, joined or filled in by hand by our skilled craftsmen.
A painstaking job that requires patience, precision and above all passion, and which eventually brings out the nuances of the wood, the woodworm holes and other signs left over time, which make the product unique.
The final protection is provided exclusively by natural oil and wax to ensure optimum maintenance over time, to retain the characteristics of the antique wood. For the wood floors to be labelled as "Authentic", Cadorin strictly checks and certifies that every antique beam and wooden plank comes from old houses and farms.
The Cadorin Antique Planks allow for green building, minimizing the environmental impact by recycling and reusing the wood.
The geometry of a wood floor’s laying, or rather the pattern formed by the matching of its boards makes a decisive difference in defining the style of any home. Herringbone patterns that were once the rule of prestige have now returned to glory thanks to the development of new board formats. The beauty of Herringbone or Chevron patterns lies in the fact that the boards are laid diagonally in paired rows running in opposite directions that recall the perfect symmetry of the skeleton of a fish, hence the name.
Cadorin proposes wood floors in Herringbone 90° (rectangular boards laid at 90° in classic Italian style), Chevron 45°, with beveled boards, Chevron 60° with bevel and even any other tilt angle desired. Wider boards than the long, slender boards of the past can now be chosen to give floors a modern and contemporary look and feel. Even different workings and colors can be combined to create parquet with a strikingly original and impressive patchwork surface.
